SAMA Starts Issuing Treasury Bills; Proceeds Go to Ministry of Finance
The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) began weekly issues of treasurybills on 18 November with a SR1.5bn ($400mn) offering of four, 13 and 26 weekinstruments. The yields were calculated at 4.7889%, 4.9126%, and 4.9825%respectively. SAMA has told banks that 52-week bills will be issued for thefirst time on 26 November, and then at monthly intervals....
