Egyptian Oil Production Averages 870,500 b/d in 1990-91
Egyptian crude oil production amounted to 44.4mn tons (about 870,500 b/d)worth some $6bn in fiscal year July 1990-June 1991, according to a statement byEgyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi quoted in the Cairo daily al-Ahram of 7December. The output of natural gas during the same period was 6.5mn tons. Thevalue of oil and gas consumed locally in Egypt in 1990-91 was $4.6bn on thebasis of world prices....
