The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) took delivery on 20 December of one ofthe first of four 280,000 dwt crude carriers which are currently underconstruction in South Korean yards - two by Daewoo and and two by Hyundai -under the terms of contracts concluded in the first half of 1990 prior to theIraqi invasion of Kuwait.
