Qatar Plans to Construct Second Methanol Plant
MEES learns that Qatar is planning to build a 2,000 tons/day methanol plant,in addition to the projected MTBE/methanol plant to be constructed at Umm Saidby the Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac). The shareholders in Qafac are QatarGeneral Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) with 50%, Canada's International OctaneLtd.
