Syria to Supply Cyprus with Fuel Oil in 1992

Syria will supply 570,000 tons of fuel oilto Cyprus in 1992 for power generation. The contract, worth C20mn ($44mn), wassigned in Nicosia on 16 January by the General Manager of Syria's Baniasrefinery and the Chairman of the Cyprus Electricity Authority (CEA). Syriasupplied the CEA with fuel oil during the second half of 1991 under a contractsigned last year.
