Oman Signs Protocol with Shell for Joint Venture LNG Project
The Omani Minister of Petroleum and Minerals, Mr. Sa'id bin Ahmad al-Shanfari,on 8 February signed a cooperation protocol with the Royal Dutch Shell Group fora detailed evaluation of Oman's newly-discovered gas reserves with a view to theestablishment of a joint-venture LNG project. Shell has already completed aninitial study which indicates the viability of LNG exports of around 5mntons/year....
