Iran Permits Passage of Neutral Ships in Territorial Waters
Iran, in a surprise move, has decided to cancel for the first time since the1980-88 war with Iraq the exclusion zone regulations for ships sailing the Gulfand is allowing neutral shipping to freely enter its territorial waters. Thecancellation of these regulations will undoubtedly ease the free flow of cargo,including oil, to and from Iran as well as in and out of the Gulf waters.
