The Political Scene
The Security Council's approval of a resolution imposing sanctions on Libyahas whetted Third World suspicions about the nature of the west's "newworld order" and faced the Arab states with a choice they would clearlyprefer to avoid. The resignation of Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy is -potentially, at least - a serious blow for Likud's prospects in the Juneparliamentary elections, and hence a good thing as far as the Arab-Israeli peacetalks...
