TransGlobe Completes 3 New West Gharib Wells
Canadas TransGlobe Energy Corporation has announced the successful drilling of three new wells on its wholly-owned West Gharib concession in Egypt, from which oil production averaged 5,830 b/d in 2009. Arta-12, the companys first horizontal well in Egypt, was drilled to a depth of 5,217ft in the Nukhul reservoir, and flowed oil at a rate of 30 b/d for a week in December with no water cut. A...
