Japan Plans to Have 2 Million-Car Green Fleet by the Year 2000
Projections by Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)call for an increase in the number of cars run by electricity, natural gas andmethanol from the current 1,350 vehicles to around 100,000 by 1995 and 2million by the year 2000.
