MEES learns from oil industry sources that Chevron Corporation has agreedto sell all of its petroleum exploration and producing rights in the Sudan to alocal Sudanese company, Concorp International, for a sum amounting to between$23mn and $26mn. Chevron's expenditure on the exploration and development of itsoil finds in the Sudan - from the year of its acquisition of the concession in1975 until February 1984...
