Iran Requests $100bn in UN and International Aid
On 24 June Iranian Vice President Hamid Mirzadeh requested the United Nationsand other countries provide Iran with $100bn worth of assistance in order torepair damage caused during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. Mr. Mirzadeh made hisrequest while meeting with a team of visiting UN officials who were in Iran toreview the implementation of Security Council Resolution 598 - the cease-fireresolution passed in July 1987...
