Naimi Calls For End To Protectionism As Kingdom Launches Petrochemicals Push
Saudi Arabia petrochemicals production will rise from current levels of around 60mn tons/year to more than 80mn t/y by 2015, announced Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali al-Naimi on 9 December. But investments, which Mr Naimi said would reach $100bn by 2015, are being put at risk by a rise in protectionism, he argued.
