Gulf Air Places $500mn Order for Six A340s
Gulf Air has ordered six Airbus 340s, and taken options on six more, as partof its expansion and upgrading program. The order (excluding the options) isworth about $500mn. The airline is the first in the Middle East to choose thewide-bodied A340s. In June, Dubai-based Emirates Airlines ordered seven Boeing777s, as part of its own upgrading program.
