SABIC Approves New MTBE Plant for Ibn Sina
The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) board has approved theconstruction of a 500,000 ton/year methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant byits affiliate, the National Methanol Company (Ibn Sina) whose Jubail plant iscurrently producing 770,000 tons/year of methanol which will provide feedstockfor the new plant.
