Ras Tanura Refinery Resumes Production
Saudi Aramco's 530,000 b/d refinery at Ras Tanura, which was shut down forrepair and maintenance on 18 December 1990, resumed operations on 29 December1990 with a throughput of around 300,000 b/d. The refinery will be using onlyone of its two crude distillation units because the other unit with a capacityof 230,000 b/d was damaged in a fire on 30 November (MEES, 24/31 December 1990).
