OPEC Basket Price for 1990 Averages $22.25/B
The average spot price for the OPEC basket of seven crudes for 1990 was$22.25/B, compared to $17.31/B in 1989 and $14.24/B in 1988. The 1990 average isabove the minimum reference price of $21/B set during the Geneva conference lastJuly. The average spot price for the basket in December was $26.11/B, comparedto $31.04/B in November. Full details are shown in the table below:
