OPEC Quota System Will Eventually Disappear, Says Venezuelan President

The OPEC crude oil production quota system will eventually have to bescrapped, Venezuelan President Carlos Andres Perez said last week duringmeetings with the press. "For us, it would be very good to be able to getout of the quota system, and we know that at a given moment OPEC's system ofquotas will have to disappear," he was quoted as saying.
