Hassun Appointed Acting Director of SOMO

MEES understands that Mr. Adil al-Hassun has been named acting executivedirector of Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO), replacing Dr. RamziSalman who has been appointed Deputy Secretary General of OPEC. All the othersenior SOMO staff members have remained in their positions. Mr. Hassun waspreviously deputy director of the country's Audit Bureau.
