Turkey to Buy 50,000 b/d of Crude Oil from Libya
Turkey will purchase 50,000 b/d of crude oil from Libya during 1991,according to Mr. Mehmet Savran, the head of Turkey's state-owned oil refiningcompany TUPRAS. Making the announcement on 20 May, Mr. Savran said that theprice of the oil was cheaper than current market prices and that part of the oilwould go towards settling a delayed payment which Libya owes to Turkishcontractors.
