Iran Asking for Prepayment Deals with Japanese Customers
Iran's NIOC is now asking for prepayment deals on crude oil sales to Japanesecustomers - some $150mn each from Tomen, Mitsui, C. Itoh and Marubeni (all ofwhom have had similar deals in the past) - starting in the third quarter. NIOCis apparently also proposing that the grace period before the start ofrepayments in crude oil should be one year, rather than the six months providedfor under previous deals....
