Bapco Refinery Processed 254,000 b/d in 1990
The 250,000 b/d refinery at Awali in Bahrain, which is managed and operatedby the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) - owned by the Bahrain Government (60%)and Caltex (40%) - operated at full capacity in 1990 by processing 92.9mnbarrels of crude, or an average of 254,520 b/d, according to figures publishedin Bahrain. In 1989, Bapco's throughput averaged 243,698 b/d (MEES, 28 May1990).
