Saudi Arabia Reported to Have Signed $1.5bn Loan for Soviet Union
Saudi Arabia is reported to have signed a $1.5bn loan with the Soviet Unionat the beginning of August. The Kingdom agreed in November 1990 to extend $4bnin credits to the Soviet Union (MEES, 3 December 1990). The $1.5bn loan isreported to be divided into two equal portions, which will be used for balanceof payments support and project finance.
