Sumed Operating at 120% of Capacity
With the current surge in demand on the Sumed (Suez-Mediterranean) crude oilpipeline (MEES lead story, 13 November), reports from Cairo indicate that theline is now operating at close to 120% of capacity. The line has a ratedcapacity of 1.6mn b/d but is currently handling about 1.9mn b/d.
