Libya and Malta Conclude Oil Barter Agreement
Libya has agreed to supply neighboring Malta with $40mn worth of petroleumproducts in 1990 in return for goods and services, according to an agreementsigned in Tripoli on 28 November during the visit of Maltese Prime MinisterEddie Fenech Adami. The accord is part of the amended 1984 Friendship andCooperation Treaty between the two countries.
Libya has supplied Malta with around 13,000 b/d of petroleum products...
