New Government in Jordan
Following last month's elections for a new Jordanian Chamber of Deputies(Lower House or parliament) in which 22 out of the chamber's 80 seats were wonby the Muslim Brotherhood, a new 25-man government in Jordan, headed by PrimeMinister Mudhar Badran, was announced on 6 December. Mr. Badran, who succeedsSharif Zaid ibn Shakir as Prime Minister, selected a technocrat-dominatedcabinet, with no members of the Brotherhood as Ministers....
