Suez Canal Earns Record $1,383mn in 1989
Quoting Suez Canal Authority Chairman Muhammad 'Izzat'Adil, the Cairo daily al-Ahram of 3 January reports that the Suez Canal earneda record income of $1,383mn in 1989, up $73mn from 1988.
