Saudi Tanker Afloat after Explosion
A fire broke out last week aboard the 21,032-ton Saudi oil and chemicaltanker Raad al-Bakry VIII, which was sailing for Port Sudan with a full load ofbunker fuel from Jiddah, following an explosion in its cargo tank. However, thefire was put out and the tanker was still afloat according to a statement on 16January by the vessel's owners. 31 of the tanker's crew were saved and threewere missing.
