New Discovery at Geisum
Reports from Cairo indicate that well No. 14, drilled northeast of the Geisumfield, has tested at a rate of 2,300 b/d of better quality crude oil thanpreviously obtained from the field. The field, which is currently producingabout 6,500 b/d of 17 API crude, was discovered by Conoco in the Hurghadaconcession in the southern part of the Gulf of Suez in 1980, but the companyrelinquished its interest in the field to the Egyptian General...
