Appointment of New Director General for North Oil Company
Mr. Ghazi Sabir 'Ali has been appointed Managing Director of the state-ownedNorth Oil Company, replacing Dr. Sami Sharif who was appointed last December asUndersecretary at the Ministry of Oil. Mr. 'Ali, an electric engineer, wasformerly Deputy Director General of the North Oil Company. Iraq's other oiloperating firm, the South Oil Company, is headed by Mr. Mujid 'Abd al-Zahara.
