Japan's Imports of Middle East Crude Show 14% Rise in 1989

Japan's imports of Middle East crude oil rose by 14% last year, from 2.251mnb/d in 1988 to 2.568mn b/d in 1989, ac- cording to figures released by theJapanese Ministry of In- ternational Trade and Industry (MITI).
