Japan Offers to Finance Suez Canal Expansion Project
The Japanese Government has offered a loan of $800mn to finance the SuezCanal's expansion project which is currently the subject of an 18-monthfeasibility study by an international group headed by the NetherlandsEngineering Consultants (Nedco) under a contract awarded last July (MEES, 7August 1989).
