OPEC
US Crude Imports from OPEC Rose by 25% in 1989
United States crude oil imports from OPEC rose by 670,000 b/d or 24.9% lastyear - from 2.696mn b/d in 1988 to 3.366mn b/d in 1989 - according to dataderived by MEES from the US Department of Energy Statistics (for detailed tablessee pages D3-6). At the same time, OPEC's share of US crude imports increasedfrom 52.8% in 1988 to 58% in 1989.
