KfW Considers $59mn Loan for Misr Chemicals
West Germany's Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW) is considering theextension of a DM100mn ($59mn) loan to Misr Chemicals for a chloralkali projectin Alexandria involving the replacement of two old Mercury-cell chlorine plantsby a 60,000-ton/year membrane-cell plant. Bids for the choice of a consultantfor the project will be invited shortly and will be followed by bids for choiceof a construction firm.
