Construction of 10 More Berths at Umm Qasr Port

The state-owned Faruq Construction Company has completed the construction of10 new berths at the Umm Qasr port in the northern Gulf at the cost of around$286mn, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA). The new facilities, which alsoinclude 9,300 sq. ms. of storage capacity, can handle 2.5 million tons annuallyof dry cargo.
