Lebanon Publishes First Budget for Five Years
The Lebanese Government is projecting a budget deficit of 65% for 1990. Theproposed budget is the first to be announced for five years and has yet to beapproved by the Council of Ministers. Expenditure for the year has been set atLL597bn ($1bn) - of which debt service will account for LL184bn - againstrevenues of LL210bn. Defense expenditure is set at LL97bn.
