131% Hike in Price of Butane
Egypt has raised the domestic price of butane gas by 130.8% in the latestmove to meet IMF demands for economic reforms and cuts in state subsidies. Anofficial announcement on 3 May set the price of home-delivered gas cylinders atE1.50 (about 57 cents), up from E0.65 (about 25 cents).
