Iran and US Sign small Claims Settlement
Iran is to pay the US $50mn in settlement of small claims outstanding sincethe 1979 revolution, according to the terms of an agreement between the twocountries signed late on 13 May. The Iranians will also pay a further $55mn tosettle a loan owing to the US Agency for International Development. Amounts dueto Iran were still pending at MEES press time.
