QAFCO's Earnings Fall by 46% in 1989
The total earnings of the Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) - a joint ventureowned 75% by the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) and 25% by NorskHydro of Norway - fell in 1989 by 45.5% to $27mn from $49.56mn in the previousyear, according to a recent statement by QAFCO's Deputy Chairman of the Board,Mr. Fuad Salih al-Mahmud.
