Gulf Crisis
Jordan Estimates Cost of Crisis at $1.56bn
The Jordanian Government has estimated its total potential losses resultingfrom the Gulf crisis at $1.56bn, although some private economists have put thefigure at nearer $3.5bn. In a document submitted to the UN Security Council,Jordan specified exports, transit fees, subsidized oil, remittances, debtrepayments, and aid as its areas of greatest loss.
