Bonn Appoints Ambassador in Tripoli; NOC Opens Subsidiary in Duesseldorf
The West German Government has decided to send an ambassador to Tripoliafter an absence of two and a half years because of alleged Libyan terroristactivities. The new ambassador, Mr. Juergen Hellner, will take office inOctober. He is an Arabist and has already served in Syria and Qatar. Libya isWest Germany's second largest oil supplier, after the UK.
