Lasmo Acquires 20% Interest in Total's Bishri Concession
The British firm London and Scottish Marine Oil (Lasmo) has acquired a 20%equity share in Total's 9,330-sq. km. Bishri concession in northeast Syria (forterms of the Bishri concession, see MEES, 4 January). The farm-in agreementbetween Lasmo and Total requires the approval of the Syrian People's Assembly(parliament). Total is planning to drill the first wildcat in the Bishriconcession early next year.
