Mexico Blames OPEC Producers for Price Fall
Mexico has blamed OPEC producers, and the Gulf oil exporters in particularfor the sharp fall in oil prices, amounting to some $3-4/B, over the past sixweeks. A joint statement issued by the Mexican Energy Ministry and the nationaloil company Pemex on 7 October also accused Gulf suppliers of employingintensive price competition to displace Mexico and other Western Hemisphereproducers in the US market.
