Mitsubishi Wins Algerian Power Contract
Algeria's state-owned Sonelgaz has awarded Japan's Mitsubishi HeavyIndustries a $48.5mn turnkey contract for the expansion of the diesel powerstation at Bechar, in south-west Algeria. The contract involves installation offive 8-megawatt diesel generating units, a workshop and storage tanks. Totalcost of the project is estimated at $68mn, of which some $25mn is being providedby the European Investment Bank.
