Elf Aquitaine Signs Exploration Deal with South Yemen

Elf Aquitaine signed on 3 November an exploration agreement covering an areaof 47,630 sq. kms. in the Sirr Hazar region in the northern part of South Yemen.The agreement was signed by the South Yemeni Minister of Energy and MineralResources, Mr. Salih Abu Bakr ibn Husaynwn, and Mr. Michel Pecqueur, Chairman ofthe Elf Aquitaine group.
