Banbi Appointed Chairman of EGPC
Mr. Hamdi al-Banbi, hitherto Chairman of Gupco (EGPC/Amoco), has beenappointed Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). Hereplaces Eng. Muftah Ma'bad who was appointed in August 1987 (MEES, 10 August1987). Mr. Banbi's position as Chairman of Gupco has been taken over by Gupco'sExploration Manager, Mr. Ahmad Shauqi 'Abdin.
