Oman Signs Mineral Exploration Contract with BRGM
The Omani Government on 16 November signed a contract worth R0822,000($2.15mn) with the French geological survey firm Bureau de RecherchesGeologiques et Minieres (BRGM), under which mineral exploration will be carriedout in an area of 9,800 sq. kms. The agreement was signed by the Omani Minister of Petroleum and Minerals, Mr. Sa'id ibn Ahmadal-Shanfari, and BRGM's VicePresident for External Relations.
