Kuwaiti Amir Gives $10mn for Fao Reconstruction
The Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Jabir al-Ahmad al-Sabah, has donated $10mn towardsthe reconstruction of the southern Iraqi port of Fao, which was devastatedduring the Gulf war. Last year Iraq launched a national campaign to finance therebuilding of the port facilities.
