East Baghdad Oilfield to Start Up
The East Baghdad field, which was discovered in 1976 and which runs fromsouth of the Diyala River 40 kms. northeast of Baghdad to the Taji area 25 kms.from the city center, is scheduled to start up soon, according to the Iraqi OilMinister, Mr. 'Isam al-Chalabi in a statement on 28 March to the Iraqi NewsAgency (INA).
