Umm Qasr Port to have 10 New Berths

The Iraqi Government is to build 10 loading berths at the Gulf port of UmmQasr at an estimated cost of $150mn. These are expected to raise to 2mntons/year the handling capacity at Umm Qasr, which before the Gulf war wasIraq's second port after Basrah.
